This painting is from a dream. In that dream, I met a knowledgeable individual and asked if there is a soul and what does it look like when it leaves the body at death. I was shown someone in the moment of death and saw what seemed like a rainbow leaving the deceased. I was told that it was the soul. I decided to omit painting the deceased person and opted to show death with a black band at the bottom of the painting.
